Tuesday, March 16th, 2010As you can see from the rather large amount of nicely detailed equipment provided with this kit, your atlas model 1408 pit stop is able to handle just about any emergency repair or servicing job. You will want to provide a pit stop for each of the entries, racing your track, that is sponsored by one of the many car manufacturers who long ago came to recognize the publicity value to be had from a favorable showing by one of his cars. Atlas makes it easy for you to do this by providing roof signs by several different manufacturers with which you can identify a particular sponsor’s pit stop. Also, you can cull the names of several dozen other manufacturers from any of the many popular automobile magazines. A few minutes with a pair of scissors will give you more roof signs than you can use.

Atlas HO Model 1408-129 Pit Stop Assembly Instructions
Monday, March 1st, 2010- Important! Before beginning assembly apply all the decorative stickers as called for on the drawing.
- Install inner wall 1 in building 2. Make sure the upper corners of the inner wall are inserted between the small tabs at the ends of the longitudinal brace.
- Install the building on base 3 making certain that the lower corners of the inner wall are received between the small centering tabs on the base. The building front should face toward the wide ground area of the base.
- Install roof 4.
- Apply pennants to the poles on roof signs 5 then cement the sign to the roof.
- The following details may be arranged on the base to suit your fancy: air compressor 6, welding rig 7, tire rack 8, frame jack 9, drum with pump 10, bumper jack 11, water can 12, elevated drum 13, plain drum 14.

HO Slot Car Structure 1408-129 Pit Stop
Sunday, February 14th, 2010A pit stop (also called a pit garage or pit area) is a small stand alone building at the side of the track where a driver can get more fuel and make repairs during or after an auto racing sporting event. Tools and equipment such as an air compressor, bumper jack, drum with pump, elevated drum, frame jack, plain drum, tire jack, water can & a welding rig adorn the general floor area of the garage. This plastic model kit has a roof sign and two (2) flags on the roof. The roof sign stickers are CORVETTE, FORD, maserati and Mercedes-Benz. ESSO stickers are placed on the side panels. A pre-politically correct world NO SMOKING sign sticker is included for the counter wall. The inner wall sticker is a back door and tool bench. Red, white, blue & yellow flag pennants stickers are also included. The Atlas pit stop measures 4.0″ x 4.0″ x 3.0″ and displays nicely on any HO scale slot car racing track layout. This, must have, kit is relatively easy to assemble.
