HO Slot Car Structure 1409-129 Officials Stand

Monday, February 15th, 2010

An officials stand (sometimes called a judges stand or viewing stand) is a small stand alone building at the side of the track where track officials (or referees) can officiate (or judge) what happens during the race. The location of the stand is usually central to where the action is so that a clear view of all areas of the track can be seen at all times by eye or with field glasses or binoculars. Drivers can be penalized by disqualification and/or fining based upon violating any of the homologated racing and safety rules. Clear styrene plastic viewing windows surround the building 360 degrees and a tall fragile white flag pole extends 4 inches above the roof. Four (4) large speakers are attached at the corners of the roof so that official announcements can be heard by all fans and pit crews. The Atlas officials stand measures 4.0″ x 4.0″ x 7.0″ and displays nicely on any HO scale slot car racing track layout. This kit is relatively easy to assemble.
